The Good Samaritan – Michigan and Ohio State Fans Version…

a Remix of the Parable found in Luke 10:30-37

A Michigan fan was traveling to a game in Columbus when they were ambushed by some Ohio State fans who stole their tickets, jacket, and wallet, and left them beaten on the side of the road.

Soon, an Ohio State fan came upon the Michigan fan but instead of helping, they walked on the other side of the road, ignoring the Michigan fan’s condition.

Soon after, another Ohio State fan came by, but they too simply ignored the Michigan fan and kept walking.

Finally, a Michigan fan came by and saw the injured Michigan fan, and immediately stopped to help them. They dressed their wounds, put them in their car, and took them to the nearest hospital, making sure they were well taken care of.

After hearing about this, a few Ohio State fans felt ashamed that their fellow fans had turned a blind eye to a fellow human being in need. They vowed that from that day on they would do their best to show kindness and compassion to all, even if they were fans of their rival team.

the Original Parable found in Luke 10:30-37 (KJV)

And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee. Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
