Jesus, with his freshly shaved head, travels to the wilderness alone and fasts for 40 days. Satan tempts him, but Jesus resists with the power of the word of God. He returns to his hometown, where he reads a passage from Isaiah in the synagogue and proclaims that he is the fulfillment of the prophecy. The people are amazed, but some are skeptical.
