In Mark 9, Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up a mountain and is transfigured before their eyes. They see Jesus’ clothes turn dazzling white and Elijah and Moses appear with him. A voice from heaven proclaims, “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!” Afterward, Jesus heals a boy possessed by an evil spirit, saying, “Everything is possible for one who believes.” And at the end of the chapter, Jesus again predicts his death and resurrection.
