In this chapter, Jesus teaches about the importance of seeking God through prayer and asking for what we need. He urges us to knock on the door of heaven and listen for God’s response. He then goes on to speak about recognizing people by their fruits, and building our lives on a solid foundation. Jesus reminds us that the wise builder takes the time to measure and plan, while the foolish builder rushes in without thinking. He warns us about the narrow and wide roads we can take in life, and how our choices will determine our destination.
