Title: The Exodus Challenge
Objective: To escape from Egypt with the Israelites, just like in Exodus 1:1-5.
Number of players: 2 or more
Materials needed: Timer, 10 small objects (e.g. coins, beans), a bowl, a scarf or blindfold
Instructions:
1. Set the timer for three minutes.
2. Scatter the 10 small objects on a table or floor.
3. Designate one player as the Israelite and another as the Pharaoh. If there are more than two players, divide them into two teams, with one team representing the Israelites and the other team the Egyptians.
4. Blindfold the Israelite player or the Israelite team.
5. The Pharaoh or the Egyptian team must stop the Israelites from collecting the small objects and escaping from Egypt. The Pharaoh or Egyptian teams can use their hands to prevent the Israelites from escaping, but they cannot move the objects from their original positions.
6. The Israelites or the opposing team have three minutes to collect as many objects as possible and place them in the bowl without being stopped by the Pharaoh or the Egyptians.
7. When the timer goes off, count how many objects were collected. If the Israelites collected at least six objects, they win the game!
8. Repeat the game with the teams switching roles.
Optional: You can add more challenges to the game by creating obstacles that the Israelites must navigate through to escape. This could include placing chairs or pillows on the floor to represent the Red Sea, or having them crawl through a tunnel to represent the wilderness.
End of game: The game ends when both teams have had the opportunity to be the Israelites and the Pharaohs, or when the players decide to stop playing.
