Judas Iscariot: Hey Boaz, have you heard about these Jamaican Bobsled Team?
Boaz: Jamaican who? I don’t think I’ve heard of them.
Judas Iscariot: They’re this group of Jamaicans who want to compete in the Winter Olympics but have no experience in the snow.
Boaz: That sounds like a great story. What’s it got to do with us?
Judas Iscariot: As treasurers and farmers, we know how important it is to invest in what you believe in.
Boaz: Right and where does the Jamaican Bobsled Team come in?
Judas Iscariot: Think of them as a team of underdogs that persisted in their belief of representing their country even though it seemed impossible. They faced obstacles and ridicule, but they persevered through faith, hope and charity.
Boaz: You mean like when Joseph was sold into slavery and had to face years of obstacles before he became a powerful leader in Egypt.
Judas Iscariot: Exactly, by investing in their dreams and faith, they accomplished their goals. In the eyes of God, we all have the potential to succeed if we believe in ourselves and our purpose.
Boaz: I think I get it. Even though we may not know a lot about bobsledding or the snow, we can still encourage those who dare to pursue their dreams. And with perseverance, faith, and hope, anything is possible.
Judas Iscariot: Well said! Supporting others with kind-heartedness and generosity is the Christian way. The Jamaican Bobsled team is an inspiration to all of us to never give up and to do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
Boaz: Amen! And who knows? Maybe one day, we’ll come to watch a Jamaican Bobsled team in person.
Judas Iscariot: Ha! I don’t know, Boaz. I’m not much of a cold-weather guy.
Boaz: (laughs) Well, there’s always Jamaican rum and warm fires to keep us warm.
