Ant-Man, aka Scott Lang, is no ordinary superhero. As the world’s smallest hero, he has a unique perspective on things that others might overlook. So when it comes to telling the story of the Bible book of Leviticus, Ant-Man is more than up for the challenge.
The book of Leviticus is all about rules and regulations. God took the time to lay out a very specific set of guidelines for the Israelites to follow in order to maintain their holiness and purity in his sight. Ant-Man can sympathize with this, having had to follow some very strict guidelines of his own when he was under house arrest in his own movie.
One of the biggest themes in Leviticus is sacrifice. God required the Israelites to offer up animals as a way to atone for their sins. Ant-Man can appreciate the symbolism behind this, as he too has had to make sacrifices for the greater good. In his case, he had to give up his freedom for a time in order to protect his family and the world.
Leviticus also talks a lot about clean and unclean things, and the importance of keeping them separate. Ant-Man can definitely get behind this idea, as he knows how important it is to keep things clean and orderly in order to prevent chaos. Plus, as someone who has been surrounded by ants for a good portion of his life, he knows all about the importance of hygiene.
The book of Leviticus can be a bit dry at times, with all the lists of rules and regulations. But Ant-Man thinks there’s some humor to be found in it. After all, the idea of sacrificing animals to atone for sins is kind of ridiculous when you think about it. As he likes to say, “If you’re sacrificing a goat to God, you might want to reevaluate your life choices.”
All in all, Ant-Man sees Leviticus as a reminder that while rules can be restrictive, they can also be a way to stay focused and on track. As he puts it, “Sometimes you need to play by the rules in order to make a difference. Just make sure you’re not sacrificing goats along the way.”
