This is a fictional Bible reading. Michael Scott did not actually make this Bible reading.

Okay, so the Bible book of Matthew is a pretty big deal, and as a devout Christian, I feel like it’s important to go through at least some of the highlights. Now, I know what you’re probably thinking – “Michael, why would we want to hear your interpretation of the Bible? You’re a regional manager, not a theologian!” But trust me, folks, I got this.

So basically, the book of Matthew is all about Jesus, and it starts off by talking about his genealogy. Now, I don’t want to get into all the names and stuff, but let’s just say that Jesus had some pretty impressive ancestors – David, Abraham, the whole shebang. And then we get to the actual birth of Jesus, which involves a virgin named Mary and a whole bunch of angels and wise men and stuff.

But the real action doesn’t really start until Jesus grows up and starts doing all kinds of crazy miracles. He heals people, feeds thousands with just a few fish and loaves of bread, and even walks on water. But of course, there are plenty of people who don’t like him, especially the Pharisees (who were basically the religious leaders of the time). They don’t appreciate Jesus going around telling everyone that he’s the son of God, and they start trying to catch him in his words. But Jesus is a pretty smart guy, and he manages to outsmart them every time.

Eventually, things start to get really heated, and Jesus knows that he’s going to be arrested and killed. He has one last supper with his disciples (which is where we get the whole “bread and wine” thing), and he tries to prepare them for what’s about to happen. But they don’t really get it, and one of them (Judas) ends up betraying Jesus to the authorities.

Long story short, Jesus is put on trial, found guilty, and sentenced to die on a cross. But even in his darkest hour, Jesus doesn’t give up. He keeps preaching and teaching, even as he’s hanging there on the cross. And then, after three days in the tomb, Jesus rises from the dead, proving once and for all that he really is the son of God.

So, that’s the basic gist of the book of Matthew. Of course, there’s a lot more to it than that, but I don’t want to bore you all with too much Bible stuff. But before I go, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes from the book: “Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” – Matthew 6:34. See, folks? Even the Bible knows that sometimes you just have to take life one day at a time.

And that’s what she said!
