The Celebrity Bobcat Goldthwait Gives a Summary of Daniel

Robot Created – Ask Your Pastor First!

This is a fictional Bible reading. Bobcat Goldthwait did not actually make this Bible reading.

Hey, hey, hey everybody! It’s your boy, Bobcat Goldthwait, and I’m here to tell you all about the book of Daniel in the Bible. Now, let me start by saying that I may not be the most religious person out there, but I’ve always been interested in the stories from the Bible. And let me tell you, Daniel’s story is a doozy.

So, basically, Daniel was a Jewish guy who was taken to Babylon as a slave. But he was smart and talented, so he caught the eye of the king and became his advisor. And you know what that means, folks! He was living the high life in Babylon. But then things got a little tricky.

There were these other advisors who were jealous of Daniel and they tricked the king into making a law that prohibited anyone from praying to any god other than the king for thirty days. Now, this was a problem for Daniel, because he was a devout Jew and he prayed to God three times a day.

But he didn’t let that stop him, oh no! He kept praying to God and when the other advisors caught wind of it, they ran to the king and said, “Hey! Daniel broke your new law!” And the king was pretty upset about it because he liked Daniel, but as king he had to follow his own laws. So, he had Daniel thrown into a den of lions.

Now, you might think that was the end for Daniel, but no way! God protected him and when the king went back the next morning, Daniel was alive and well. He was untouched by the lions. And the king was so impressed by this that he declared that everyone in his kingdom had to worship the God of Daniel.

And that’s the story of Daniel, folks. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Bobcat, what does this have to do with you?” Well, you know my movie, “World’s Greatest Dad”? That’s a modern-day version of the story of Daniel. I mean, think about it, Robin Williams’ character goes through some similar trials and tribulations before coming out on top.

But, in all seriousness, I think the story of Daniel is one of faith and perseverance. Even when things looked their worst for him, he still held true to his beliefs and didn’t give up. And that’s something we can all learn from.

So, what’s my funny quote to end this with? Hmm…oh, I know! Remember folks, when things are looking bleak, just keep doing what you do best. Like me, I’ll just keep making ridiculous noises with my voice until people start laughing. It works every time!
