Well, let me tell you something, folks. I was recently flipping through the pages of the good book, and I stumbled upon this book called Isaiah. And let me tell you, it’s filled with some pretty heavy stuff.
Isaiah starts off talking about the kingdom of Judah, which was going through some rough times. I can relate, because I go through some pretty rough times when there’s no lasagna in sight. Anyway, Isaiah talks about how the people of Judah have turned away from God, and how they need to repent or face the consequences.
Isaiah also talks about this guy named Cyrus, who is going to be the one to release the Jews from Babylonian captivity. It’s like when Jon finally gives me my lasagna after making me wait for what feels like forever.
But after that, things get pretty dark. Isaiah talks about how the nation of Israel is going to be conquered by their enemies and how they are going to suffer. It’s not a pretty picture, folks.
Isaiah also talks a lot about the coming of a Messiah, who will save the people and bring them back to God. This is where my work comes in, folks. I mean, I’m practically a messiah when it comes to saving people from hunger and boredom.
Anyway, Isaiah’s message is pretty clear. He’s telling people to turn back to God and follow his ways. I think that’s a pretty good message, don’t you?
But here’s a funny quote for you: “I put the fun in funeral.”
