The popular game "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" is a fun way to connect any Hollywood actor or actress to Kevin Bacon within six steps. But what about connecting a Biblical character to Kevin Bacon? Let’s try it with Abel, the son of Adam and Eve.

Step 1: Abel to Adam
Abel was the second son of Adam and Eve. Adam was the first man created by God and the father of all mankind. He lived for 930 years and was the first to sin by disobeying God’s command not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Step 2: Adam to Seth
Seth was the third son of Adam and Eve, and the one they had after Cain killed Abel. He lived for 912 years and was the father of Enosh.

Step 3: Seth to Noah
Noah was the great-grandson of Seth and the one chosen by God to build the ark and save his family and the animals from the flood. He lived for 950 years and was the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Step 4: Noah to Abraham
Abraham was a descendant of Shem, the son of Noah. He was called by God to leave his home in Ur and go to a land that God would show him. He is considered the father of the Jewish people and lived for 175 years.

Step 5: Abraham to King David
King David was a descendant of Abraham through his son Isaac and grandson Jacob. He was the second king of Israel and the one who defeated Goliath. He wrote many of the Psalms in the Bible and was known as a man after God’s own heart.

Step 6: King David to Kevin Bacon
Kevin Bacon played the role of Sebastian Shaw in the movie "X-Men: First Class." The director of that movie, Matthew Vaughn, also directed the movie "Kingman: The Secret Service," which starred Mark Strong. Mark Strong played the role of Frank D’Amico in the movie "Kick-Ass," which also starred Nicolas Cage. Nicolas Cage played the role of Seth in the movie "City of Angels," which was based on the German film "Wings of Desire." The German film was directed by Wim Wenders, who also directed the movie "Until the End of the World," which starred William Hurt. William Hurt played the role of Tom Grunick in the movie "Broadcast News," which also starred Kevin Bacon.

Abel’s offering was pleasing to God because it was the best he had to offer. We too should give our best to God in everything we do.
