a Genesis 1:1-1 poem

In the beginning God created,
His power and love never faded,
He spoke and light shone,
All creation, He did own.

The earth and sky came to be,
A perfect home for you and me,
Each creature unique and whole,
God’s creation, His very soul.

Let us marvel at this sight,
And remember with all our might,
God’s hand in all that we see,
Blessed be His name, eternally.

a Genesis 1:1-1 rap

In the beginning, God created all things
From nothing, He made everything
The heavens, the earth, and even light
His power and glory, always in sight

He spoke and it was done
Creating order, one by one
Day and night, sea and land
All under His sovereign hand

God said, “Let there be light”
And there was day and night
He separated the waters below
And made the sky to watch over and glow

On the third day, He created the land
With plants and trees, and fruits so grand
Herbs and crops, all for our use
The earth in beauty, He did infuse

On the fourth day, the sun and moon
With stars a-plenty, shining like a tune
The fifth and sixth, creatures to roam
On earth and sea, all finding a home

Finally, God said, “Let us make man”
In His image, this was His plan
Male and female, He created us all
To worship and love Him, He did call

In the beginning, God made it all
His wisdom and power, for us to extol
What a mighty God we serve
Our lives, for Him we ought to preserve
