Unity Weave – an Ephesians 4 Craft

Introduction

Ephesians 4 talks about the importance of unity in the body of Christ. Our craft today is a visual representation of this unity through weaving.

Materials

• Cardboard or foam board
• Scissors
• Yarn of different colors
• Glue

Instructions

1. Cut strips of cardboard or foam board into equal lengths and width.
2. Cut a small notch on both ends of each strip.
3. Cut different colors of yarn into equal lengths.
4. Take one strip and weave the yarn through the notches, alternating colors as you go.
5. Repeat the process with additional strips, weaving them through the first strip until you have a woven square or rectangle.
6. Repeat the process with additional squares or rectangles, weaving them together to form a larger piece.
7. Glue the edges of the woven squares or rectangles together to form a cohesive piece.

As you weave the different strips of cardboard or foam board together, think about the different parts of the body of Christ coming together in unity.
