The Seals Unveiled – a Revelation 6 Craft
Materials Needed:
- White paper (8.5×11 inches)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Markers or colored pencils
- Printout of Revelation 6 (optional)
- Wooden skewer or toothpick
Instructions:
- Cut the white paper into four equal pieces.
- On each piece of paper, draw a seal using markers or colored pencils. The seals can be based on the descriptions in Revelation 6 or your own interpretation.
- Cut out each seal carefully with scissors.
- Take one of the seals and fold it in half, with the design facing outwards. Glue the two halves together, leaving a small opening at the top.
- Repeat step 4 with the other three seals.
- Print out Revelation 6 and read through the chapter.
- Using the wooden skewer or toothpick, poke a small hole at the top of each seal.
- String a piece of string or yarn through the holes of the seals, tying a knot at each end.
- Hang the seals in order from 1-4, according to the order they are revealed in Revelation 6.
- As you look at each seal, reflect on the meaning behind it and what it represents.
This craft is a great way to engage with the powerful imagery and symbolism in Revelation 6, and can be a helpful tool for personal reflection or group discussion.
