The Bread of Life Plaque
This craft is inspired by the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000 in John 6:1-15 and his declaration that he is the Bread of Life in John 6:35.
Materials Needed
- Wooden plaque (can be purchased at a craft store)
- Acrylic paint (brown, white, blue)
- Paintbrushes
- Clear sealant spray
- Printable template of the words "Bread of Life" (can be found online)
- Scissors
- Mod Podge
- Small loaf of bread (optional)
Instructions
Paint the wooden plaque with the brown paint to resemble a loaf of bread. Let dry completely.
Using the printable template, cut out the words "Bread of Life" from the paper.
Paint the letters white and let dry completely.
Once dry, use Mod Podge to glue the letters onto the wooden plaque.
Using the blue paint, add a small border around the letters to make them stand out.
Optional: Glue a small loaf of bread onto the plaque to symbolize the feeding of the 5,000.
Finally, spray the entire plaque with clear sealant to protect it.
This plaque serves as a reminder that Jesus is the Bread of Life and that he satisfies our spiritual hunger. It can be hung on a wall or displayed on a shelf as a daily reminder of God’s provision and love.
