Star of Bethlehem – a Matthew 2 Craft
Materials Needed
- Yellow craft foam or paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Gold glitter
- Hole punch
- Ribbon or string
Instructions
- Cut out a large star shape from the yellow craft foam or paper.
- Sprinkle gold glitter over one side of the star and allow it to dry.
- Use the hole punch to create a hole at the top of the star.
- Thread a ribbon or string through the hole and tie a knot at the top to create a loop for hanging.
- Write or print out the following Bible verse on a small piece of paper: "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him." – Matthew 2:2
- Glue the piece of paper with the Bible verse onto the back of the star.
- Hang the star in a prominent place to remind you of the story of the wise men following the star to find Jesus.
Optional
- Add additional decorations to the star, such as sequins or stickers.
- Use the star as a Christmas tree ornament.
