Rejoice & Refresh – a 2 Corinthians 7 Craft
Materials Needed:
- Glass jar
- Paint (optional)
- Paintbrush (optional)
- Decorative paper or fabric
- Scissors
- Glue
- Pen or marker
- Bible
Instructions:
- Begin by reading 2 Corinthians 7 from the Bible to understand the context and message of the chapter.
- Take the glass jar and paint it with a color of your choice, or leave it clear.
- Cut out a piece of decorative paper or fabric that is approximately the size of the jar lid.
- Glue the decorative paper or fabric onto the lid of the jar.
- Using the pen or marker, write the words "Rejoice & Refresh" on the top of the jar lid.
- Cut out small pieces of paper and write down things that bring you joy or things that you are thankful for.
- Fold the pieces of paper and place them inside the jar.
- Whenever you need a pick-me-up or a reminder to be thankful, open the jar and read the pieces of paper inside.
- Take a moment to reflect on the message of 2 Corinthians 7 and the importance of rejoicing in the midst of trials and hardships.
Optional:
- Personalize the craft by painting the jar with designs or images that are meaningful to you.
- Use different colors of paper to represent different categories of things you are thankful for (e.g. family, friends, health, etc.).
- Make multiple jars and give them as gifts to friends or family members who could use some encouragement.
