  2. Cut out smaller heart shapes from the red and purple construction paper.
  3. Glue the red hearts onto the white heart to represent the trials and hardships we face in life.
  4. Glue the purple hearts onto the white heart to represent the blessings and joy we experience in life.
  5. Using markers or crayons, write James 1:2-4 on the white heart:

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

  6. Display your "Pure Heart" craft as a reminder to find joy in the midst of trials and to allow perseverance to strengthen your faith.

This craft is inspired by James 1:2-4, which encourages believers to see trials as an opportunity for growth and maturity in their faith. Despite the hardships we face, we can have a pure heart that is strengthened by perseverance and trust in God.
