Parable Pearls – a Matthew 20 Craft
Materials Needed:
- A bag of small pearls
- Small plastic containers
- Labels
- Markers
- Felt or fabric scraps
- Glue
- Scissors
Instructions:
- Begin by reading Matthew 20 and discussing the parable of the workers in the vineyard.
- Give each child a small plastic container and a bag of small pearls.
- Have them count out 12 pearls and place them in their container.
- Using markers and labels, have them write the following on their container "Parable Pearls – Matthew 20:1-16"
- Using felt or fabric scraps, have the children cut out small leaves and glue them to the top of their containers to represent the vineyard.
- As a group, discuss the meaning of the parable and remind the children that God’s grace is available to all, regardless of when they come to know Him.
- Encourage the children to keep their "Parable Pearls" as a reminder of God’s grace and love for all people.
