Miraculous Catch – a Luke 5 Craft
Supplies Needed:
- Blue construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Markers
- Goldfish crackers or any fish-shaped snacks
- A printed copy of Luke 5:4-6
Instructions:
- Cut out a boat shape from the blue construction paper.
- Glue the boat to a blank piece of paper.
- Write "Miraculous Catch" at the top of the paper.
- Write "Luke 5:4-6" underneath the title.
- Cut out fish shapes from the remaining blue construction paper.
- Write the words "I Will Follow You" on the fish shapes using the markers.
- Glue the fish to the paper, making it look like they are jumping into the boat.
- Glue the goldfish crackers or fish-shaped snacks to the paper, filling up the boat.
- Underneath the boat, glue a printed copy of Luke 5:4-6, which reads:
"When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, ‘Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.’ Simon answered, ‘Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.’ When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break."
- Display the craft as a reminder of the power of faith and following Jesus.
