Locust Swarm – a Revelation 9 Craft

In Revelation 9, a swarm of locusts is described as a punishment from God. Let’s turn this punishment into a fun and easy craft!

Materials

• Black pipe cleaners
• Red and yellow tissue paper
• Scissors
• Glue
• Googly eyes

Instructions

1. Take 4-5 black pipe cleaners and twist them together in the middle to make the body of the locust.
2. Fold the pipe cleaners in half and twist them together to create the legs of the locust.
3. Cut a small piece of yellow tissue paper and glue it to the head of the locust for its eyes.
4. Cut small triangles out of the red tissue paper and glue them to the body of the locust to create its wings.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 to create as many locusts as you want for your swarm.

Optional:

• Add glitter or paint to the wings for extra sparkle.
• Attach the locusts to a branch or piece of cardboard painted to look like a desert landscape for a fun display.

Now you have your very own swarm of locusts to remind you of the consequences of disobedience to God.
