Locust Swarm – a Revelation 9 Craft
In Revelation 9, a swarm of locusts is described as a punishment from God. Let’s turn this punishment into a fun and easy craft!
Materials
- Black pipe cleaners
- Red and yellow tissue paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Googly eyes
Instructions
- Take 4-5 black pipe cleaners and twist them together in the middle to make the body of the locust.
- Fold the pipe cleaners in half and twist them together to create the legs of the locust.
- Cut a small piece of yellow tissue paper and glue it to the head of the locust for its eyes.
- Cut small triangles out of the red tissue paper and glue them to the body of the locust to create its wings.
- Repeat steps 1-4 to create as many locusts as you want for your swarm.
Optional:
- Add glitter or paint to the wings for extra sparkle.
- Attach the locusts to a branch or piece of cardboard painted to look like a desert landscape for a fun display.
Now you have your very own swarm of locusts to remind you of the consequences of disobedience to God.
