Living Water Jar – a John 7 Craft

Materials Needed

• Glass jar with lid
• Blue food coloring
• Water
• Small rocks or pebbles
• Artificial flowers or greenery
• Glue gun
• Scissors
• Paintbrush

Instructions

1. Fill the glass jar with water.
2. Add a few drops of blue food coloring to the water to represent the living water.
3. Place small rocks or pebbles at the bottom of the jar to represent the foundation of faith.
4. Cut artificial flowers or greenery to fit inside the jar.
5. Using a glue gun, glue the flowers or greenery to the inside of the jar lid.
6. Screw the lid onto the jar, trapping the flowers or greenery inside.
7. Using a paintbrush, paint the words "Living Water" onto the outside of the jar.
8. Display the Living Water Jar in a prominent place as a reminder of Jesus’ words in John 7:38: "Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them."

Optional

• Add a small LED light to the bottom of the jar to make it glow from within.
• Use a permanent marker to write John 7:38 on the outside of the jar instead of painting it.
