Living Water Jar – a John 7 Craft
Materials Needed
- Glass jar with lid
- Blue food coloring
- Water
- Small rocks or pebbles
- Artificial flowers or greenery
- Glue gun
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
Instructions
- Fill the glass jar with water.
- Add a few drops of blue food coloring to the water to represent the living water.
- Place small rocks or pebbles at the bottom of the jar to represent the foundation of faith.
- Cut artificial flowers or greenery to fit inside the jar.
- Using a glue gun, glue the flowers or greenery to the inside of the jar lid.
- Screw the lid onto the jar, trapping the flowers or greenery inside.
- Using a paintbrush, paint the words "Living Water" onto the outside of the jar.
- Display the Living Water Jar in a prominent place as a reminder of Jesus’ words in John 7:38: "Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them."
Optional
- Add a small LED light to the bottom of the jar to make it glow from within.
- Use a permanent marker to write John 7:38 on the outside of the jar instead of painting it.
