"Light in Darkness" – a 1 John 1 Craft
Materials Needed:
- Black construction paper
- White chalk or white colored pencil
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions:
- Cut the black construction paper into a square shape.
- Using the white chalk or white colored pencil, write the following quote from 1 John 1:5 in the center of the black paper: "God is light; in him there is no darkness at all."
- Cut out small, random shapes from the black paper to create a "darkness" effect around the quote.
- Glue the small black shapes onto the paper around the quote, leaving some white space visible.
- Display your "Light in Darkness" craft as a reminder of God’s light shining in the darkness.
Optional:
- Add glitter or sequins to represent the light shining through the darkness.
- Use different colored construction paper and chalk to create a colorful version of the craft.
