Holy Hearts – a 1 John 3 Craft
Overview
This craft is based on the bible passage 1 John 3, which talks about how we are children of God and should love others as God loves us. The craft involves making heart-shaped ornaments with a special message written on them.
Materials
- Red construction paper
- Scissors
- Hole puncher
- String or ribbon
- Markers or pens
Instructions
- Cut out heart shapes from the red construction paper
- Use the markers or pens to write the message "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!" on one side of the heart shape
- On the other side of the heart shape, write the message "And that is what we are!"
- Punch a hole at the top of the heart shape
- Thread the string or ribbon through the hole and tie a knot to create a loop for hanging
