Materials

  • Blank journals/notebooks
  • Pens/pencils
  • Bible (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by reading 1 Timothy 4, either individually or as a group.
  2. Discuss the key themes of the chapter, such as physical and spiritual training, avoiding false teachings, and being an example to others.
  3. Have each person decorate their blank journal/notebook with designs, stickers, or other decorations of their choice. Encourage them to make it unique to their personal style.
  4. Using their new journals, have each person write down their own personal fitness and spiritual goals, based on the themes discussed in 1 Timothy 4.
  5. Have each person create a workout plan that incorporates both physical exercise and spiritual practices, such as prayer or meditation. They can include things like daily walks, strength training, Bible study, or attending church services.
  6. Encourage each person to track their progress in their journal, writing down their workouts and reflections on their spiritual practices.
