Heavenly Treasures – a Matthew 6 Craft
Materials:
- Small box or container
- Gold or silver paint
- Paintbrush
- Craft jewels or sequins
- Glue
- Bible verse printout (Matthew 6:19-21)
Instructions:
- Paint the small box or container with gold or silver paint. Allow to dry.
- Once the paint is dry, glue craft jewels or sequins onto the box in a decorative pattern.
- Print out the Bible verse from Matthew 6:19-21 and cut it to fit inside the box.
- Place the Bible verse inside the box and close the lid.
- Use the box as a reminder to focus on storing up treasures in heaven rather than on earth.

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
