Heavenly Throne – a Revelation 4 Craft

Materials needed:

• Construction paper or cardstock in white, blue, and gold
• Scissors
• Glue
• Markers or crayons

Instructions:

1. Start by cutting out a large circle from the white construction paper or cardstock. This will be the base of your Heavenly Throne.
2. Cut out a smaller circle from the blue construction paper or cardstock. Glue this circle onto the center of the white circle.
3. Cut out four wings from the white construction paper or cardstock. These will be the wings of the four living creatures described in Revelation 4. Glue two wings onto each side of the blue circle.
4. Cut out a smaller circle from the gold construction paper or cardstock. This circle should be slightly smaller than the blue circle. Glue this circle onto the center of the blue circle.
5. Cut out a small rectangle from the blue construction paper or cardstock. This will be the body of the crystal sea described in Revelation 4. Glue this rectangle onto the bottom of the white circle, just below the wings.
6. Use markers or crayons to draw eyes and other details onto the wings and body of the throne.
7. Optional: Use glitter or metallic paint to add a touch of sparkle to the throne.

Your Heavenly Throne craft is now complete! Use it to help teach children about the throne of God described in Revelation 4, and the incredible beauty and glory of heaven.
