Heavenly Fireworks – a 2 Thessalonians 1 Craft.

"Heavenly Fireworks" – a 2 Thessalonians 1 Craft

Materials Needed

  • Black construction paper
  • Yellow, orange, and red tissue paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 printed on white paper

Instructions

  1. Take the black construction paper and fold it in half. Cut along the fold to create two equal halves.
  2. Take one half of the black construction paper and fold it in half again to create a smaller rectangle.
  3. On the folded edge of the black paper, draw half of a fireworks shape with a pencil. Cut along the pencil line to create a full firework shape. Unfold the black paper to reveal your firework shape.
  4. Cut small pieces of yellow, orange, and red tissue paper into squares.
  5. Glue the tissue paper squares onto the firework shape to create a fiery explosion.
  6. Print out 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 and cut it into small sections. Glue the sections onto the black paper around the firework shape.
  7. Repeat steps 2-6 with the other half of the black construction paper.
  8. Display your "Heavenly Fireworks" craft as a reminder of God’s power and glory as described in 2 Thessalonians 1.

"With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ." – 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 (NIV)
