Heavenly Chains – a Revelation 20 Craft
In Revelation 20, we read about an angel who comes down from heaven with a key to the bottomless pit. He uses this key to bind Satan with chains and throw him into the pit for a thousand years.
To commemorate this event, we can create our own "heavenly chains" craft. Here’s how:
Materials
- Silver or gold pipe cleaners
- Clear or iridescent beads
- Pliers
Instructions
- Cut a length of pipe cleaner to your desired length. This will be the chain.
- Thread beads onto the chain, spacing them out as desired. These beads represent the purity of heaven.
- Twist the ends of the pipe cleaner together to form a loop.
- Using pliers, twist the loop closed to secure the beads and create a finished look.
- Repeat steps 1-4 to create additional chains, if desired.
As you create your chains, think about the power of God to bind evil and protect us.
Note: This craft is not recommended for young children, as pipe cleaners can be a choking hazard if ingested.
