Graceful Giving – a 2 Corinthians 8 Craft
Materials Needed:
- Paper plates
- Scissors
- Glue
- Markers or crayons
- Stickers or other decorative items (optional)
Instructions:
- Cut a slit in the middle of the paper plate.
- Cut the plate in half along the slit.
- Fold one half of the plate in half again, creating a pocket.
- Decorate the pocket with markers, crayons, stickers, or other decorative items.
- Glue the pocket onto the other half of the plate, creating an envelope.
- Write "Graceful Giving" and "2 Corinthians 8" on the front of the envelope.
- Encourage children to think of ways they can give graciously, just as the Macedonian churches did in 2 Corinthians 8.
- Have children write down their ideas on slips of paper and place them inside the envelope.
- Display the envelopes as a reminder to give graciously.
