Graceful Giving – a 2 Corinthians 8 Craft

Materials Needed:

• Paper plates
• Scissors
• Glue
• Markers or crayons
• Stickers or other decorative items (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cut a slit in the middle of the paper plate.
2. Cut the plate in half along the slit.
3. Fold one half of the plate in half again, creating a pocket.
4. Decorate the pocket with markers, crayons, stickers, or other decorative items.
5. Glue the pocket onto the other half of the plate, creating an envelope.
6. Write "Graceful Giving" and "2 Corinthians 8" on the front of the envelope.
7. Encourage children to think of ways they can give graciously, just as the Macedonian churches did in 2 Corinthians 8.
8. Have children write down their ideas on slips of paper and place them inside the envelope.
9. Display the envelopes as a reminder to give graciously.
