Glory’s Banner – a Revelation 19 Craft
In Revelation 19, the second coming of Christ is described, and one of the images used to describe it is a banner. This craft will help you create your own "Glory’s Banner" to remember this powerful image.
Materials:
- White fabric or a white pillowcase
- Fabric markers or paint pens in various colors
- Scissors
- String or ribbon
- Dowel rod or wooden stick
Instructions:
Cut your fabric or pillowcase into a rectangular shape that is approximately 18 inches wide and 24 inches long.
Using your fabric markers or paint pens, draw a large cross in the center of the fabric.
Around the cross, write the words "Glory to God in the highest" in colorful letters.
On either side of the cross, draw two angels blowing trumpets.
At the top of the banner, write the word "Hallelujah!" in large letters.
At the bottom of the banner, write the words "King of Kings" and "Lord of Lords" in colorful letters.
Once your banner is complete, fold over the top edge and sew a pocket for your dowel rod or wooden stick.
Thread your string or ribbon through the pocket, and tie the ends of the string or ribbon to the ends of the dowel rod or wooden stick.
Hang your Glory’s Banner in a prominent place where you can see it every day and remember the powerful message of Revelation 19.
Optional:
You can also decorate your banner with additional images or symbols that represent the second coming of Christ, such as a crown or a white horse. Be creative and make it your own!
