Glorious Transformation – a 2 Corinthians 3 Craft
Supplies Needed
- White paper or cardstock
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Markers or crayons
- Small mirror (optional)
Instructions
- Start by drawing a large outline of a heart on the white paper or cardstock with your pencil.
- Cut out the heart shape with your scissors.
- Next, cut the heart shape in half vertically.
- On one half of the heart, write the word "old" at the top and on the other half, write the word "new" at the top.
- On the "old" half of the heart, draw or write things that represent your old self before you became a Christian. This could be negative traits, bad habits, or things you struggle with.
- On the "new" half of the heart, draw or write things that represent your new self after becoming a Christian. This could be positive traits, new habits, or things you are working on improving.
- Glue the two halves of the heart together, with the "new" half on top of the "old" half.
- Decorate the heart with markers or crayons as desired.
- Optional: Hold the heart up to a small mirror and reflect on the changes God has brought about in your life through His Spirit.
Bible Verse
This craft is based on 2 Corinthians 3:18 which says, "And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
