Glorious Gold Leaf Cross – a Revelation 1 Craft
Materials:
- Wooden cross
- Gold leaf sheets
- Adhesive size
- Paintbrush
- Soft cloth
Instructions:
- Begin by painting the wooden cross with adhesive size. Allow it to dry for about 30 minutes until it becomes tacky.
- Carefully apply gold leaf sheets onto the cross, using a soft cloth to gently press and smooth out any wrinkles or air bubbles.
- Repeat the process until the entire cross is covered in gold leaf.
- Once the gold leaf is in place, use a paintbrush to gently brush off any excess gold leaf.
- Finally, add any additional details or embellishments as desired, such as gems or ribbon.
This craft is inspired by Revelation 1, which describes a vision of Jesus Christ as a radiant being with golden feet and a golden sash around His chest. Through this craft, we can create a tangible representation of Christ’s glory and majesty as we reflect on the words of Revelation.
