"Faithful Flame" – a 2 Timothy 1 Craft

Materials Needed:

• Mason jars
• Tissue paper (in red, orange, and yellow)
• Mod Podge
• Paintbrush
• Tea light candles
• Scissors
• Pen/pencil
• Printed Bible verse (2 Timothy 1:7)

Instructions:

1. Begin by cutting the tissue paper into small squares or rectangles.
2. Using the paintbrush, apply a layer of Mod Podge to the outside of the mason jar.
3. Carefully place the tissue paper squares onto the Mod Podge, overlapping them slightly to create a flame-like effect. Make sure to cover the entire surface of the jar.
4. Once the tissue paper is in place, apply another layer of Mod Podge on top of the tissue paper to seal it in place.
5. Allow the Mod Podge to dry completely.
6. Meanwhile, print out the Bible verse 2 Timothy 1:7 and cut it into a small rectangle.
7. Once the Mod Podge is dry, use the paintbrush to apply another layer of Mod Podge over the entire surface of the jar, including the Bible verse.
8. Allow the Mod Podge to dry completely.
9. Once the jar is dry, place a tea light candle inside and light it.
10. As the candle burns, it will shine through the tissue paper, creating a "faithful flame" that reminds us of God’s power, love, and self-discipline, which are mentioned in 2 Timothy 1:7.

Optional:

• You could add a ribbon or twine around the top of the jar for decoration.
• You could also give the completed "Faithful Flame" as a gift to a friend or loved one.
