Eternal Unity – a John 17 Craft

Materials Needed:

  • Construction paper (various colors)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers or crayons
  • Optional: stickers or other decorative items

Instructions:

  1. Begin by reading John 17 from the Bible.
  2. Cut out two large hearts from different colored construction paper.
  3. Cut out smaller hearts in various colors.
  4. On one of the large hearts, write "Jesus" and on the other heart, write "Believers".
  5. On the smaller hearts, write different names for believers (e.g. "John", "Mary", "Peter", etc.).
  6. Glue the smaller hearts onto the heart labeled "Believers".
  7. Cut out a strip of paper and write "John 17" on it.
  8. Glue the strip of paper in between the two hearts to create a banner.
  9. Optional: decorate with stickers or other decorative items.
  10. Display the craft as a reminder of the eternal unity we have with Jesus and with one another as believers.

Additional Ideas:

  • Use different shades of the same color for the hearts to create a gradient effect.
  • Write different Bible verses on the smaller hearts to personalize the craft.
  • Instead of hearts, cut out crosses or other religious symbols.
