Enduring Race – a 1 Corinthians 9 Craft
Materials Needed:
- Small wooden dowels
- Paint
- Paintbrushes
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
- String
Instructions:
- Paint the wooden dowels in different colors to represent the diversity of people running the race of life.
- Once the paint has dried, use the scissors to cut the dowels into different lengths to represent people at different stages in their journey.
- Use the hot glue gun to glue the dowels together to create a pyramid-like structure.
- Tie a string around the structure to represent the finish line.
- On each side of the structure, write a quote from 1 Corinthians 9 that reminds us to endure in our race of life.
Examples of 1 Corinthians 9 Quotes:
- "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize."
- "Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air."
- "I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some."
