- Using the construction paper, cut out small rectangles (about 2 inches by 3 inches) in different colors.
- On each rectangle, write the name of one of the individuals listed in the genealogy of Jesus found in Matthew 1.
- Cut out a long strip of construction paper to represent the "divine lineage" of Jesus.
- Glue the rectangles onto the long strip of paper in the order listed in Matthew 1.
- Use markers to decorate the divine lineage strip with pictures or symbols that represent each individual listed.
- Hang the divine lineage strip in a prominent place to remind you of the importance of Jesus’ genealogy and his divine lineage.
Optional: You can add more details and decorations to the craft, such as using gold or silver markers to highlight the names of individuals with a special significance, or adding glitter or sequins to the divine lineage strip for an extra touch of sparkle.
