Divine Creation – a Colossians 1 Craft

Materials Needed:

• Canvas or heavy paper
• Paint (blue, green, yellow, red, and white)
• Paintbrushes
• Pencil
• Black marker

Instructions:

1. Begin by sketching the basic outline of the world on your canvas or paper with a pencil.
2. Use the blue paint to fill in the oceans and seas.
3. Use the green paint to paint the continents.
4. Once the continents are dry, use the yellow paint to add highlights to the land.
5. Next, use the red paint to add in details like mountains and valleys.
6. Finally, use the white paint to add clouds to the sky.
7. Once the paint is dry, use a black marker to write the following passage from Colossians 1:15-17:
   "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together."
8. Display your Divine Creation craft in a prominent place to remind yourself and others of the beauty and wonder of God’s creation.
