Divine Creation – a Colossians 1 Craft
Materials Needed:
- Canvas or heavy paper
- Paint (blue, green, yellow, red, and white)
- Paintbrushes
- Pencil
- Black marker
Instructions:
- Begin by sketching the basic outline of the world on your canvas or paper with a pencil.
- Use the blue paint to fill in the oceans and seas.
- Use the green paint to paint the continents.
- Once the continents are dry, use the yellow paint to add highlights to the land.
- Next, use the red paint to add in details like mountains and valleys.
- Finally, use the white paint to add clouds to the sky.
- Once the paint is dry, use a black marker to write the following passage from Colossians 1:15-17:
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." - Display your Divine Creation craft in a prominent place to remind yourself and others of the beauty and wonder of God’s creation.
