Crystal Sea Glass Vase – a Revelation 15 Craft
In the book of Revelation, chapter 15 describes a vision of a sea of glass mingled with fire before the throne of God. This craft is inspired by that vision, and uses sea glass to create a beautiful vase that reflects the colors of the sea and the fire.
Materials
- Clear glass vase
- Sea glass in various colors
- Clear adhesive glue
- Paintbrush
- Mod Podge
- Gold leaf flakes
- Gold leaf adhesive
Instructions
- Wash and dry the glass vase thoroughly.
- Using the clear adhesive glue, apply sea glass to the outside of the vase, in a pattern that resembles waves.
- Once the sea glass has dried, apply a coat of Mod Podge to the entire vase, using a paintbrush. Allow to dry completely.
- Apply gold leaf adhesive to certain areas of the vase, in a pattern that resembles flames. Allow to dry for a few minutes.
- Using your fingers, apply gold leaf flakes to the areas where you applied the adhesive. Press the flakes down gently to ensure they stick.
- Once the gold leaf has been applied, go back over the entire vase with another coat of Mod Podge. This will seal the gold leaf and the sea glass, and give the vase a beautiful shine.
- Allow the vase to dry completely before use.
