Explanation
In Matthew 3, John the Baptist is baptizing people in the Jordan River, including Jesus. When Jesus is baptized, the heavens open up and a voice from heaven declares that Jesus is God’s beloved son. This craft represents the moment of baptism and the joy and bliss that comes with it. The tissue paper symbolizes the waters of baptism, and the dove represents the Holy Spirit that descended upon Jesus at his baptism. Displaying this craft can serve as a reminder of the importance of baptism and the love that God has for each one of us.
