Armor of God – an Ephesians 6 Craft
Introduction
Ephesians 6 talks about the spiritual armor that we need to wear as Christians to protect ourselves from the attacks of the devil. In this craft, we will make a visual representation of the Armor of God that we can wear or display as a reminder of the protection we have in Christ.
Materials
- Card stock paper in different colors (blue, red, green, yellow, black, and white)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Stapler
- Hole punch
- String
Instructions
1. Cut out the Armor of God templates
Print out the Armor of God templates on card stock paper and cut them out along the dotted lines.
2. Color and decorate the templates
Use markers or colored pencils to color and decorate the templates as desired.
3. Assemble the armor
- Take the breastplate and fold along the dotted lines to create the armor’s shape. Glue or staple the edges together.
- Take the belt and cut along the dotted lines to create two separate pieces. Staple or glue the two pieces together to create a longer belt.
- Take the helmet and fold along the dotted lines to create a 3D helmet. Glue or staple the edges together.
- Take the shoes and fold along the dotted lines to create the shoes’ shape. Glue or staple the edges together.
- Take the shield and cut out the middle circle with a hole punch. Tie a string through the hole.
- Take the sword and cut out along the dotted lines. Glue or staple the handle together.
4. Display or wear the Armor of God
Hang the shield on a wall or wear it around your neck with the string. Display the rest of the armor on a shelf or wear them (except the sword) as a costume.
Conclusion
By creating the Armor of God craft, we are reminded of the spiritual armor that we need to wear every day as Christians. May it be a constant reminder to us of the protection we have in Christ against the attacks of the devil.
